Are blog commenters entitled?

Here's a couple of questions for you.

When you comment on a blog are you entitled to a response from the blog owner? If you do not respond to a comment does that make you less of a man?

Well, according to our old friend Diego (Yes, D.A., I figured out it was really you in another skin), a blog owner is required to respond to every comment on their blog regardless of whether the comment adds value or is just a physical manifestation of the commenter's mental masturbation.

Elsewhere on this site, D.A. (aka, diego from a previous life) made a comment on a post where he, hopefully purposefully, misunderstood the writer's intent. So, we chose to ignore the comment.

Not good enough for old D.A. (does that rhyme with Dumb Ass, by the way?). Oh, no, he had to come back and impugn our manhood; "be a man," he wrote. Tsk. Tsk.

Perhaps when he matures a bit and starts making sense, and making nice, we'll respond to his comments. Until then, we reserve the right not to respond to the rantings of a child.
