human rights first is sponsoring a campaign to stop Congress from approving Bush's plans to legalize torture. The Bush proposal is wrong on so many fronts that it makes us dizzy just thinking about them.

I no longer consider myself a member of Democratic Party, but I remain a lowercase "d" democrat in that I retain a strong belief in democracy.

Diego, why is it that the right points to Saddam as an excuse for their violations of international law? Saddam was never a direct threat to the American people, so your entire war is based on lies. Do the world a favor and come up with a new line.
